“What?!!?" a girl shouted at the top of her lungs after receiving the not so pleasant news from her father. "What are you talking about? I'm barely eighteen years old, how are you expecting me to get married NEXT WEEK?” She was dressed in her soaked school uniform, white top and red pleated skirt with length that rise right above her knees. She was drenched from head to toe due to running home after missing the school bus.
“Tavia, go dry yourself before we further discuss this issue.. you might catch the cold-” a middle-aged man said in a tone of voice that was anything but caring. Dark circles were visible under his eyes along with his ruffled hair - a look that said he just woke up after another one of his late night gambling.
“NO! I'm not going anywhere until I know exactly what you have in store for me!" tears began to welled up in her eyes as she tried to blink them away, "I'm so sick and tired of you and your surprises! Just tell me why I have to get married, and most importantly, to...whom?” she stuttered. Can life get any worse? Like come on, she just got the hang of balancing between high school and two jobs, and now BAM, time to get married?
Her father let out a long sigh before replying, “Honey believe me, I seriously don't want to break up the relationship you have with Ron, but we have no choice," sarcasm can be heard hanging on to every words, "but it's either you get married to Raymond Lam or else the triad will come after us...”
“.. who the the hell is Raymond Lam!?" Why does that name sound so familiar, she repeated the name over and over again in her head until something finally clicks. Raymond Lam,the son of Lam's Triad! The stupid bastard who thinks that he's the king of the world or something (well at least, in school he is... with all the girls). Even though she has never seen him before, rumors have been going that he's a cold-blooded rich player who goes around to fuck with girls. The thought of it made her shiver.
"Wait, don't tell me you went gambling again?" Receiving no answer from her father, she knew that the answer was yes. "How could you! Didn't you promised mom that you'll change for her....?” Frustrated, Tavia screamed at her father while tears flowed freely down her face. Without thinking, she fled out of the house and into the pouring rain...

After making out with some random slut at school, Raymond raced home before he gets another beating from his father, Damian Lam. After his mother passed away when he was five, Raymond hated his life, a life controlled by none other than his father. From then on, he turned away from his so-called “family” and began to establish a new playboy reputation after Damian remarried to Kenix Kwok. Like all fairy-tales, his step-mother was no exception: evil, abusive, and greedy. But of course, Damian would be like all perverted men, seeing Kenix only as a caring and beautiful woman who's willing to help a single-dad “take care” of his son. Psh, like she would give a damn even if he gets run over by a car.
He halted his Mercedes as the lights turned red. Thinking about his life made him made him furious. He just wanted to live a normal life where he can get married to the girl of his dream and then together creating a happy family where there's no whoopings nor tears.
Still deep within thoughts about his unwanted life, the light turned green. As he stepped on the gas pedal, a girl ran out of the streets.
EEEEEERRRRRK, the tire screeched.
Luckily, he stepped on the brakes in time and the car stopped abruptly a few inches from hitting the girl. Before he knew what's happening, she fell to the ground and fainted...

CAST
Tavia (17) - Friendly and easy-going, though sometimes her friends would label her as an air-head who would act before thinking. She would sacrifice anything for the people around her.
Raymond Lam (18) - An unloved child with a cold exterior. Rich, handsome and witty. Most girls see him as the prince, but only one sees him as nothing but a spoiled player.
Bosco (Wong) Lam (18) - The step brother, yet the only friend he could count on. Witty and playful. He's head over heels in love with the girl of his life. However, due to his immaturity, he tends to get into random relationships with random girls in order to get her jealous.
Leila Tong (17) - The valedictorian. It seemed as though no guys want her because all she cares about are tests and homework. However, behind those books is a typical girl waiting for his true love to be serious enough to ask her out.
Ron Ng (17) - The nice guy. He would do anything to hold on to the relationship with the girl of his dreams, even if it means giving up his education and career goals.
Nancy Wu (17) - The innocent girl next door. Funny and caring, she's always there's to lend him her shoulder.
