As he looked up, he saw a girl dressed in a white sparkling gown and a white-feathered mask. He looked into her eyes and he see her…
“Guardian angel?” he whispered to himself.
Okay..This guy must be nuts, Tavia thought.

“I’m sorry sir. I didn’t mean to bother you. I’ll take my leave,” Tavia said hurriedly as she turned away from guy in the black mask whom she thought was drunk. How stupid can she get for butting into people's business, she thought. For all she cares, this guy might even be some kind of gangster, since this is the Lam triad's party after all, most of the people here are involved in some kind of "business." She better run for it.
“..wWait!” Raymond yelled, “I think you dropped something..” He then walked over to where Tavia was standing and picked up a bracelet on the ground. However as he looked up, she was gone.
Was that his guardian angel he’s been dreaming of every night? Those eyes… the voice… it IS her! He then looked down at the bracelet in his hand. On the back of the heart-shaped charm engraved the letters “D.L. <3 C.Y.” It must’ve belonged to his guardian angel.
Raymond raced back into the mansion, scanning the crowd trying to find the girl in the white gown while trying to keep his balance. Damn, he's regretting for getting drunk in the first place.

[Meanwhile]
For the half hour since the ball started, Bosco has been looking everywhere for Leila. Now he wants to kill himself for having suggested the masquerade idea to Damian. What a stupid idea! Now, how will he ever find her if everyone has masks on? No wonder Leila calls him stupid all the time...
Beginning to give up his hopes, Bosco went over to the bar to get a drink. “Give me a beer,” he said roughly.
“Can I have a glass of orange juice, please” a girl asked the bartender politely as she sat down next to Bosco. What a weird person? Asking for orange juice at a bar… , he thought. But as he looked over, he saw the most beautiful girl he’s ever laid eyes on. She wore a short pink gown accompanied by a pink-feathered mask. She was petite with the most stunning curly hair. As she stared back at him, he felt his heart leapt as he bored into her eyes.
Clearing her throat out of annoyance, she began, “Excuse me sir. Do you mind?” she must’ve been referring to his perverted glares and goofy smiles.
Coming back down from reality Bosco answered, “Ughh.. um.. Yes! Of course!” he managed to fake a laugh as a way to cover up his embarrassment.
The bartender then returned to give the two their drinks. Bosco, trying to strike up a conversation, asked, “Is this your first time here, pretty lady?” he smiled his most charming smile.
Though she scoffed at his cheesy pick-up lines inside her mind, she answered politely, “Uhm, yea. It’s not like the Lam’s always invite guests to their mansion. You?”
“It’s my first time here as well,” he lied. What’s the point of telling this mysterious girl his real name if he’s thinking about only having a one-night-stand with her. “What’s your name?”
Debating whether or not she should tell this stranger her real name, she replied, “Leila, nice to meet you” Why not make a new friend, she thought.
Wait, what?!?! Holy crap, he found her! Damn, if he tells her that he's Bosco Wong, she would say he's a total bastard for lying about being in his house for the first time today. Therefore he said, “My name is Sammuel” he lied again, "nice to meet you, too.”
