As soon as Ah Wing got into Ashley's house, he went to Karen's room. He was surprised that he could remember even where Karen's room was. "Hi Karen."
"Hewwo!" Karen said like a child.
Ashley walked slowly into the room, she remembered this as if it were like years before,"She'll have to go to the hospital if she gets uncontrollable."
"Well, for now, we'll see how it goes. But how did you know she has cancer."
"We went to the clinic for a check up to you know see if there's a miricle that she'll get back to normal. Then the doctor, he said that she had cancer."
"Oooh I see..." Ah Wing said.
Ah Wing and Ashley started trying to get Karen to talk to them as if she was a normal person. But they didn't succeed..

Yan walked slowly towards Dr. Mumbleau's office with Yinjing. "Yan, brace yourself honey, look out for bad news, be cautious." Yinjing warned her neice.
"It's ok, it's nothing big, just some x-rays. Besides that day had nothing to do with anything like 'OH MY GOD!! I'M GOING TO DIE!!' it's nothing like that, just low blood pressure." Yan said, trying to make Yinjing sound less worried about her health.
"Just low blood pressure?!?! When I was little, and my aunt from Taiwan, who went into the bathroom, she fainted then a moment later she was dead! And the doctor found out that it was because she had low blood pressure! True story, my dad told me."
"You know, that can't be ALL true. I heard from Dad that she had removed one of her kidneys." Yan said as she and her aunt walked into Dr. Mumbleau's office.
"Ms. Chan, please don't tell me you're planning to remove your kidney." Dr. Mumbleau said, overhearing Yan's last sentence.
"Of course not! Why would I? A kidney is like gold to me. If I lost it, I wouldn't be living." Yan said, sitting down on the chair.
"Ok good."
"Um... So what are the results to my x-rays?" Yan asked.
"Your x-rays? I don't re- oh never mind, sorry I've been so busy lately, I've forgotten about that."
"Oh it's no problem." Yan said. Dr. Mumbleau looked at the x-rays and studied it.
Yinjing leaned down, face to face with Yan,"Yan, it's a problem, I mean what if he gets mixed up and he got another person's x-ray and it said you had... Cancer or something?"
Yan sighed, getting tired from her aunt's worriedness,"Aunty Yinjing, trust me, don't worry!"
Dr. Mumbleau shook his head and turned up to face Yan,"Ms. Yan, you are... Twenty five years old? Am I correct?"
"Yes. But what does that have to do with my x-rays?" Yan asked.
"Erm... Um.... Er... Ms. Chan... How can I put this...?"
Yan and Yinjing both held their breath,'Did he have bad news? Or was he just playing a trick on me?' Yan wondered. 'Oh please lord, don't let this be bad news... Don't let me lose my Yan...' Yinjing prayed.
"Ms. Chan... You have kidney failure.. Both of your kidneys are failing to work."
Yan fell back onto the chair, shocked. Yinjing fell back step, silently cussing. The doctor continued talking.
"Your kidneys are not working."
Yan suddenly got frustrated,"I KNOW MY KIDNEYS AREN'T WORKING!! BUT I DON'T FEEL ANYTHING WRONG WITH ME!!"
"Later on, you'll feel it. Listen to me. It is lucky for you that you don't have End-Stage kidney failure. You just have acute kidney failure. This is sometimes reversible. It might've been caused by an infection from something. But we don't know for sure if you can do dialysis or a kidney transplant. But please come back in 2 weeks then we'll see about it. And when you come back, please tell me how it goes with your kidney failure. And symptoms of kidney failure is urinating in small amounts, swelling of the body, nausea and vomitting, and fatigue." Dr. Mumbleau explained.
Yan thought about what Dr. Mumbleau just said,'Well... Consider myself lucky then I guess...'
Yinjing spoke,"Thank you Dr. Mumbleau for explaining it to me, and excuse Yan for her outburst."
"It's nothing." The doctor replied.
Yan stood still.. Thinking..

Yan sat on her bed with Jack on the side. She was thinking,'What will happen to me in the future? If I have to take dialysis would it be better than dying? Well duh. And what if Ah Wing comes back? What if Ah Wing marrie dme and we lived with each other forever, then everday or every week or something like that, he'd have to take me to dialysis, and pay for it.. He'd have to see me suffer, he'd be heartbroken.. Maybe I shouldn't tell him.. That's right, I won't tell him, I'll keep this away from him, when he comes back, I'll break up with him, tell him I met... I met Edison Chen! Yea that's right.. Edison Chen... I met him... But is he seriously going to believe that?! If I tell him now, he'll come back and leave his poor cousin in England with Ashley...' Yan thought. She laid on her bed and covered herself with her blanket, she cried silently.
Yan's dad, and May had known about her kidneys, and now they were taking good care of her but she didnt care about that... She wanted to know about her future...

AN: Kinda boring chapter, just about the x-rays and stuff and info about the kidney probs. You shoulda skipped the kidney parts then if that was too boring, I would skip it :P but anyways, yea let's get to the point, Yan has kidney failure. Oh and the title of the chapter, it's my opinion :P it has nothing to do with the chapter :P
