Last time on chapter 17:
Bam! The car hit Sam Yuen's car once. When the driver of the other vehicle started to charge at Sam Yuen's car a second time, he stopped at the voice of another person.
Nam Fung: *still in his own car and shouts* Stop it Ron!
Ron: No. I must get rid of that woman!
Nam Fung: She did nothing. What are you doing this for?
Ron: For my sis! *speeds up his car and charges right at Sam Yuen's car, in which Sam Yuen was still in*
Seeing the situation, Nam Fung had no choice but to drive by pass Ron and block Ron's way with his car. Ron stopped his car and got off it. He ran over to Nam Fung, who had also gotten out of his car and confronted him.

On with chapter 18...
Nam Fung:*shouting* WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING RON!
Ron: *furious at Fung* I WANT TO GET RID OF CHAN SAM YUEN!
Nam Fung: Why are you doing this? She (Sam Yuen) did NOT do anything to offend you did she?
Ron: Yes, in fact she DID! SHE IS GETTING IN THE WAY OF YOU AND SIS!
Nam Fung: Calm down Ron! What did you say? Your sis?
Ron: Yes, Charmaine is my sister. I CANNOT allow anyone to hurt her. And that includes you and the woman *pointing to the unconscious Sam Yuen who was still stuck in her own vehicle*
Nam Fung: I'm not trying to hurt Charmaine, and neither is that policewoman!
Ron: You said it yourself Fung gor, that woman is a POLICEWOMAN! Why the heck are you getting so close to that policewoman for?
Nam Fung: I don't know, somehow...I feel that I can trust her.
Ron: Wake up Fung gor, that policewoman is just using you to get info on us and eventually capture us. She is not trustworthy! Wake up and face reality, we are gangster and we will always be, we chose our own path and there is no turning back. Think about it Fung gor, who is truly good to you. Who was there for you when you needed the most? It's sis ah! We MUST get rid of Chan Sam Yuen! *pointing at Sam Yuen once again*
Seeing Ron point in Sam Yuen's direction, Fung also turned his focus on Sam Yuen. Fung noticed oil leaking out of Sam Yuen's car. Clearly, the car was about to explode. At that moment all Fung had on her mind was Sam Yuen and one thought only: He had to save her.
Fung ran as fast as he could towards Sam Yuen, Ron tried to stop him, but Fung was determined to save Sam Yuen, and no body could have stopped him at that moment. When he finally reached Sam Yuen and her car, he tried desperately to open the door to the driver seat, however, the door was stuck and cannot be opened. Without minutes to spare, Fung crushed the window of the driver's seat and some pieces of glass flew out to scratch Fung's face, causing bleeding. Also, other pieces of glass flew in the direction of Sam Yuen, damaging Sam Yuen's face as well. However, Fung did not care about that at the moment. he reached in and pulled Sam Yuen out of her car and with Sam Yuen in his hands, Fung ran as quickly as possible, away from the about to explode car. When Fung ran half way towards his car, he heard a huge bang. It was Sam Yuen's car, it had exploded. Fung was glad that he had enough time to save Sam Yuen. Fung gently placed Sam Yuen in the passenger seat of his car while he himself got in the driver seat of the car and he drove off to the hospital, with Ron following them in Ron's own car.

At the hospital...in the A&E (Accident and Emergency Room)
Tavia (Doctor): *to Nurse* What is her condition?
Hiu Ching (Nurse): BP (Blood Pressure) 135/80. Pulse 90. SAO2 is normal, Doctor Yeung.
Tavia: Okay thanks Hiu Ching. *carefully checking Sam Yuen's body* *to Hiu Ching* She will be fine.
After sending Sam Yuen to her assigned hospital room, Tavia steps out and was greeted by the voice numerously repeating the phrase "Is she going to be okay?", "Is she fine?"
Tavia: *to Nam Fung* There is a couple of bruises, but everything else is going to be fine. You don't need to worry, she should be awake within the next hour.
Nam Fung: Thank you doctor.
Tavia smiles and simply replies with "Your welcome" and leaves.
Ron, who was sitting impatiently on those uncomfortable hospital seats could not stand Fung anymore.
Ron: You don't have to get so worried. Might be a good thing if she did die.
Nam Fung: *turned to Ron* I don't want to argue with you anymore. Please leave.
Ron: *shrugs* Fine. But keep in mind what I said before. You cannot hurt her (Charmaine). I will not let you, and I doubt you will dare. You don't want something like this to happen again, right? *Ron gets up from the chair and leaves the building*
