TITLE: The Nerd And The Prince.

A high school nerd, wearing a dark brown sweater, thick glasses and a geeky bag, she is Lee Kiki. She was partially walking to school when she bumped into a mysterious man, who indeed was famous about his actions, a relentless playboy, Lee Donghae. He is in fact the school’s heartthrob, a heartthrob who always hit on girls, whenever he is happy or just the opposite.
They barely knew each other, she knows him just by the way he looks and not by the way he is, and he knows her by just the way she acts and not by the way she is. They stopped for a moment and looked at each other.
He smirked, which made her confused, confused on what to act around him, she doesn’t even know if he only thinks of her as a nerd or someone special, which if truth be told a dream. Kiki finally stopped the non-sense act and dragged her feet to walk again.
She has her own world in class, she was always misunderstood by the way she thinks, and the way she act, in front of them. If they knew her well, she was actually an easy going, it’s just that her stock knowledge took over everything, and now they all think that she’s a geek, a book-worm perhaps. She was reading a novel by Daniel Steel as she felt something different from her environment. Little by little, she felt conscious in everyway. Every hour, every minute and every second of the day, she felt thrilled. She felt like someone was watching over her, from behind. She quickly stood up, brought her book and rushed outside, which made everyone in her class think of a new word for her, weird.
As she was walking, she saw a poster on their daily clipboard, located at the east wing of their school. Kiki looked at a recent post, about the school’s prom.
“Prom’s approaching really fast” she murmured, luckily no one heard her, or so she thought.
“Do you have a date?” a familiar voice appeared out of a sudden, as she looked around, it was Donghae, the school’s prince. She doesn’t know how to do something in front of him, to talk or turning herself around to walk.
“Lee Kiki, I am asking you something, can you hear me?” Donghae said, waving his hand on her eyes, and clicking his finger on her ears,
“Yeah, I’m here” she suddenly exclaimed,
“Are you okay?” he asked, without waiting for her reply, he again continued to talk “So, do you have a date for the prom?”
“I—I don’t” she nervously said.
She received a quick reply, “Be my partner then,” her big brown eyes popped at disbelief,
“What?” she yelled, he was surprised at her sudden actions.
He smiled and said, “I want you to be mine. Forever”
She was shocked, and she quickly looked into his eyes, just to see if he was telling the truth. His eyes were deep, deep as a well and his brown eyes, which made her melt for a second or two.
“Will you?” he asked again, leaning over to her. And for sometime, his eyes were all onto her, they are just centimeters away from each other; he again leaned over to her until their lips meet one another. Blood was rushing through her veins, rising on top of her; he didn’t expect Donghae to be like that, to like her. He broke off the kiss first,
“I would like to be with you, forever” she said, replying to his statement. He sends her off with a killer smile with a kiss on the cheeks,
“So that means you’re my girlfriend now, right?” he asked, smirking.
“I-think so?” she replied, confused.
“I won’t let anyone hurt you, I promise” as he said, kissing her forehead after the drama, they didn’t notice that someone was looking from behind, it was one of Donghae’s mates, Jung Jessica and Hwang Tiffany,
“Hey sis, look, that nerd is really getting on my nerves” Jessica exclaimed, Tiffany sighed, knowing that Kiki was no match for them; they could let the prom pass and get on with it after.
Later that day Donghae went being a playboy to a gentleman, he was just playing around girls just to see if Kiki was jealous, he really loves her a lot. A lot of them were talking on what to do before prom strikes, what to wear and most importantly who is your partner, luckily Donghae didn’t matter anymore, he has Kiki. He walked over to her, at an empty chair, the class noticed him walking towards her, they were all making faces, and whispering things,
“What are you doing here? You’re ruining your reputation as the school’s perfect boy” Kiki stated, which made him shook his head as disbelief,
“Don’t worry everything doesn’t matter as long as you’re here with me” he said, kissing her forehead again.
Kiki was walking home until someone held her hand, it was Donghae, and he wants to walk her home, to keep her safe, while walking there was an awkward silence between them until Donghae broke it.
“So are you excited?” he asked, acting silly,
“Excited for what?” she still doesn’t know how to act in front of him, even though he is her boyfriend, she still can’t find the right words to say in front of him.
“The prom, its tomorrow” he said, she stopped at incredulity, she didn’t realized that the prom was coming, she still doesn’t know what to wear,
“I still have nothing to wear” she said.
She held his hand quite tight and dragged him to her house; Donghae didn’t want to go inside, he still nervous in meeting her family, so basically he was unease at the moment. He glanced at her one last time before he goes; he smiled and walked again, in the opposite direction. A girl in just Kiki’s age opened the door,
“Hey, Kiki,” Rei Hyun said, her sister, which was eleven months older than her, she was studying now at a university,
“Rei!” as she hugs her sister tightly, “I have some good news” she exclaimed,
They quickly get inside and called her two brothers, “Hongki, Sungmin”
Hongki and Sungmin rushed down, as their youngest called their names with the –Oppa part.
“And where did your manners go?” they both said in a dishonor manner,
“I’m sorry oppa, I won’t do it again I promise” as she sat down, smiling sheepishly,
“What happened?” Sungmin asked, Rei raised her shoulders which means, she didn’t know.
“I LEE KIKI NOW HAS A BOYFRIEND, AND HE IS LEE DONGHAE!” she screamed, which made her siblings popped their eyes out,
“WHAT?!” they said at the same time, “You have a boyfriend?”
“Yes! And it’s Donghae!” she said, Rei hugged her tight. Rei knew Donghae from since childhood, and Kiki loved him from the start. And by that, Sungmin gave her a box, a vivid white box, Hongki smiled after Sungmin brought down the box right in Kiki’s eyes,
“What’s this?” Kiki asked, as she opened the white box, which contains her shoes, her accessories and her pale violet gown. Tears were forming into her eyes, she didn’t know that Rei, Sungmin and Hongki would give her such a good present, and it was in fact the best one of all. Kiki hugged them securely, and as they knew it tomorrow came in an instant.
“Kiki, hurry up the make-up artist is here already, and Donghae will pick you up at seven,” Sungmin screamed, Kiki rushed down she was still wearing her jacket and shorts, and when Hongki raised a brow, Kiki immediately rushed up again to her room, to change.
Hours have passed and finally, Kiki is ready to go.
“You look so stunning,” Donghae declared, he was waiting half an hour just for her, Rei entertained her for sometime. Sungmin, Hongki and Rei smiled at each other just by seeing their youngest sister go with her prince.
The prom went as they have expected it to be, Jessica won as the prom queen and Shindong won as her prom king. Donghae held Kiki’s hand as they walked outside; they were in a vivid place, an astonishing smile was seen on Kiki’s face,
“It’s beautiful,” she said, her hand was still clenched on Donghae’s hand,
“Yes it is,” not looking to the specific place that Kiki was saying. He was actually looking at Kiki all the time.
“You’re looking at me, not in front of me,”
“I don’t want to, your smile is enough to feed me up” as he smiled, Kiki let out a soft laugh, indicating Donghae that she was tired, and she wanted to rest, after those silly dancing and drinking, she was absolutely tired.
They were at her house at the moment, al of her siblings were fast asleep, and the two were the only ones who are still awake,
“I want to be with you, forever and always” Donghae said, at planted a kiss on her soft pinkish lips, she just smiled, and again, kissed his lips, his vivid lips, which was curled perfectly to fit her lips,
“I want us to be one…”
The next day was the most dreadful day on Kiki’s side, as soon as the prom was over, Jessica and Tiffany stuck to the plan that they have several days ago, it was to hurt Kiki, inside and out.
Kiki was having a hard time finding Donghae, she was very exhausted, of all those punches that was thrown by a man, some sticky paste which was on the hair, and some bruises on her legs that someone paddled a while ago, she was very tired, knowing that this was the risk of accepting Donghae’s love, but it doesn’t matter, as long as they love each other, nothing matters, Or as she thought.
Tiffany was on the way to a class when she saw Kiki, she smiled and thought of their plan on making her dump Donghae just for this, she called Jessica out of nowhere and talked to her, she said that this isn’t enough to make her let go of Donghae, so they started walking towards her again and crouch down, just to see her pale face,
“You know something about Donghae?” tiffany started,
“W-What?” Kiki asked, weakly.
“That he’s my boyfriend, see this?” as Jessica points to her finger, she has the same ring as Donghae has, “He was just getting into you, but the truth is, he doesn’t even care for you at all”
“That’s not true” Kiki forcing herself said,
“Well if it isn’t true, then why can’t you find him?” Tiffany smirked, which made Kiki cry,
“I’m sorry Kiki, but you’re just a toy for him, and I can’t stand seeing him with you, so I said the truth,” Jessica said, with a little grin on her face,
Kiki stood up and rushed, she was still covered with flour and she bumped into Donghae,
“Are you alright? Who did this to you?” Donghae asked Kiki slapped him and stated to run again, run as fast as she could, and she knew the only three persons in her life that could help her, Rei, Sungmin and Hongki.
She finally reached her house, she quickly opened and closed the door as she comes in, and she collapsed, as she was crying to herself, Hongki came down and when she saw Kiki crying, he rushed up to her and hugged her, he knew what happened, even though Kiki haven’t told him, he already knew what will happen to them. They heard a loud scream outside,
“Kiki! I don’t know what Jessica or tiffany said but I am absolutely positive that it’s a lie, please believe me!” Donghae plead, Rei walked out of the door and talked to him,
“Even if you really didn’t mean it, you should know your boundaries as a boyfriend and as a friend to your mates”
Rei left him alone outside as she walked in to comfort her beloved sister who, in fact was crying over some guy.
Every passing day, Donghae was always waiting for her to come out, but at his misfortune, he can’t even have a glimpse of her, he was crying for a year now, a year which was full of mysteries; first his true love was livid at him, and he still doesn’t know why, second when Rei, Kiki’s sister left the house a month ago, she said that Kiki was living on the other state, at a different country, and now he is still missing her pinkish lips, her weird laugh and her stunning smile, which makes his heart skips a beat.
It was almost two years since she has left, and he wanted to see her so badly, it was like a part of him was ripped off. He clenched his fist and put it on his chest while walking towards the park to clean his mind off of things, as he was walking, he saw a bright girl, holding a child’s hand. And when the girl gives a child a warm smile he noticed that it was Kiki, Lee Kiki.
Without any hesitation if it was her or not, he quickly pulled her into a hug,
“Kiki, I missed you so much!”
“Donghae, is it really you?” she asked, she haven’t had that courage, a courage which will help her in saying that she has a child now. She stills remember the things which caused her in trouble, things that she should have been forgetting, he let go and saw a cute little boy standing behind Kiki,
“Who is he?” he asked, a tear rolled down Kiki’s eyes, she still couldn’t say anything in front of him,
“My child” she quickly stated, and brought up her son and excused herself to go home,
“Kiki, wait!” Donghae said, waiting for Kiki to turn around and look at him,
“What?” Kiki said, annoyed,
“Even if you have a child, I still want to be with you forever, I will promise to take care of him, and no matter what, I’ll kill Jessica and Tiffany if they got on you again because I still love you, forever and always,” he said, snapping out of the reality in which he knows Kiki couldn’t forgive him for all the things that happened between them, but he felt a warm embrace, a sweet smell that enchants him, it was Kiki.
“He is our child,” she honestly said, tears started to form into his eyes, and suddenly a tear dropped from his eyes, he was so happy when he heard that the boy standing next to Kiki was his son, at least now, he knew that Kiki really loved him.
“So are you going to forgive me now?” Donghae asked,
“What do you mean?”
“I never intend to hurt you; I loved you very much, so I can’t move on without you in my empty heart,” Donghae again said,
“Don’t worry, from now until then on, Lee Kiki and Lee Dongki will be yours forever” Kiki affirmed happily,
“Dongki?” Donghae asked,
“Dongki’s his name, isn’t it cute?” she replied asking,
“Hey Dongki, who’s your dad?” Donghae asked. A finger was right in front of his eyes, it was little but cute, it was Dongki’s.
Dongki was stating that Donghae was his father, and Donghae quickly rushed to his son and gave him a hug,
As they both kissed Dongki’s cheeks, and when he was fast asleep, they both cuddled each other, kissing each other passionately under a shining star and the flashing moonlight.
